Edward is the founding Pastor of New Life Presbyterian Church in Hoima, Uganda. In addition to normal preaching and teaching duties for this body of about 200, he trains a group of young elders to carry on the leadership of the church and to start new churches in the surrounding villages. Edward also invests time at several secondary schools in Hoima to encourage students to learn while sharing the Gospel. A local radio ministry has been started, and he and Christine share 30-minute segments weekly.
Christine is Headmistress of New Life Primary School, which has recently completed a new seven-classroom building on the church campus, plus bathroom and kitchen facilities, and enrollment has jumped from 158 to 324 children!
Edward and Christine’s vision is not only to share the Gospel message, but also to reach those in the community by meeting tangible needs such as finding employment, starting small businesses, and providing essentials like food and clean water. Their work supports orphans and vulnerable children in getting a quality Christian education and life skills for self-sustainability.
