Throughout most of my life, I have felt a tug on my heart to serve in Ministry. The Lord opens doors everyday to not only learn more about His goodness, but to share it with others. I have had the privilege of serving my church the past two years as a Youth Intern alongside individuals that have truly become family to me. Witnessing the work the Lord does within our youth ministry program at Grace has been beyond transformative for me in my walk of faith.

I know that the Lord blesses each of us with different gifts and abilities and I think it is so cool that because of this, we each have unique ways in which we can advance His kingdom and share His love. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s grace.” I pray to be able to use the gifts that I have been blessed with to do just that!

An incredible way that the Lord has given me an opportunity to do this is by traveling with a team from my church to Uganda this summer! A small team of us from Grace Mills river are taking a step of faith after feeling called to spend part of our summer serving our friends and partners in East Africa. While in Uganda, we will be serving alongside Serge missionaries, Ann Kieser serving in Bundibugyo, and Edward and Christine Isingoma who serve in Hoima.

Our focus for this trip is primarily to partner with and serve alongside these long-term missionaries however we can. More specifically, we will be helping with church services, building community with the youth/students, helping to host a vacation Bible School, and speaking on radio programs.

I am thrilled to have this opportunity and couldn’t be more excited to serve our friends in Uganda. Most importantly, I want to ask for constant prayer as this trip approaches, for the heart posture of our team, safety for travel, and excitement and courage to share with and love all that we come into contact with. I would also like to ask for financial help, because I can not make this happen on my own. I am so grateful for any way that you are able to support my team and I on this journey.

About our trip

In June, our team will be traveling to Uganda, Africa. During our time in-country, we will serve alongside Ann Kieser – a Grace missionary working with Serge in Bundibugyo, Edward & Christine Isingoma – who lead New Life Church & Primary School, and visit two schools supported by Knickers for New Life – a partner organization of Grace that supplies hygiene supplies to girls who might not have any otherwise.

We will also be doing a vacation bible school for the children to share the love and joy of the Lord. With your support, we will be able to have access to a local radio station, schools, and other useful resources to help these fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

We invite you to partner with us by praying for our team while we prepare and travel to serve our partners. Nothing will be accomplished without the Spirit going before us and working in the hearts of the people we will serve. We also invite those that are able to partner with us through financial support. We ask for your prayers and financial support to make this trip happen and be able to share God’s mercy and riches globally.
