This project is to construct the Al Edassat church in the village by the same name in Egypt. The village is on the West Bank of the Nile river about 100 miles south of Luxor, Egypt. There are very few Protestant churches in this Muslim country, but the government has granted permission for this building project to go forward. The project is being undertaken by the Evangelical Protestant Church in Luxor, Egypt. This church believes that the Bible is the Word of God and follows the Westminister Confession of Faith. Although there was a church and Christian followers in the community of Al Edassat in the past, there currently is no church or pastor at work there now. The Pastor in Luxor travels to this area from time to time to minister to the Christ followers there now.
