LEA is an orphanage and school that provides a Christian education for more than 500 children in Dongobesh, a small community in northern Tanzania.
LEA works to assist needy and disadvantaged children, including orphans who have been largely marginalized by society. More than half of LEA’s students have been staying in a hostel rented by the school. Accommodations there were tight and students had to share beds. Now even those facilities are not available and LEA is in desperate need of a place of their own.
This campaign will enable us to build a new hostel next to the school with greatly improved accommodations. Each student will have his/her own bed. Plans include a dining room which can also be used as a hall for meeting and studying; two classrooms for workshops and training for other young people in Dongobesh; improved toilets, kitchen, and laundry setup; and guestrooms for parents and relatives visiting from far distances. The proximity of the new hostel will also help its working relationship with the school.
God says he’s a Father to the fatherless and he will take care of his children. We would like you to share in the tremendous privilege of helping to see this happen. We recently completed a well project for this orphanage, and the smiles it brought to these children will be ever etched in our minds!
