About Arrows + Hope

The West Michigan Lakers AAU club is a thriving community of young athletes who aspire to reach new heights in the world of basketball. Established in 2003, the Lakers are a non-profit organization that is committed to partnering with other nonprofits to work TOGETHER in order to achieve common goals for the people and communities we ALL serve!

At the West Michigan Lakers, we believe in nurturing the dreams and aspirations of our players, and helping them unlock their full potential both on and off the court. Our club offers a unique opportunity for talented basketball players from diverse backgrounds to come together, learn from exceptional coaches, and compete at the highest level of youth and HS travel basketball.

We were recently able to provide a year’s scholarship for a 9-year-old girl named Joyce! We invite you to partner with us in supporting another young student in Uganda. Our Laker Family goal is to provide a $720 scholarship for one more student to receive school fees, scholastic materials, medical care, along with discipleship and counseling from the Arrows + Hope team in Uganda for a year.

About Arrows + Hope

Arrows + Hope is a registered community-based organization in eastern Uganda. The mission of Arrows + Hope is to point orphaned and vulnerable children to HOPE in Christ through discipleship and education. Our vision is to see lives and communities transformed because of children who are living out their faith and HOPE in Christ.

You can sponsor a child with Arrows + Hope for $30/month (as a primary sponsor) or $60/month (as a full sponsor). As a sponsor, you will receive a physical sponsor packet with your sponsored child’s printed photo, written letters, and an updated photo each year. Sponsorship provides these children with the support they so desperately need, and just as importantly, helps communicate to them that they are valued, loved, and have a purpose!
