On September 24, David De Jong, founder of Helps Ministries in 1976, went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 93. He was resting peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife, Sylvia, and other family members. Moments earlier, they shared The Lord’s Supper together, along with his son and grandson by phone, and all had a blessed time of worship and thanksgiving around David’s bed.
Sylvia says, “The Lord has surrounded me with love and care. I am so blessed! Thank You Lord. I give You praise! During the twenty four hours prior to his home-going, so many in his family were able to greet him and say their goodbyes by phone, some with FaceTime, and our room was filled with hymns and praise to God. God is so good.”

Please keep Sylvia in your prayers over the coming weeks as she adjusts to life without her husband, after being together constantly for almost 21 years. We also join her in praising and thanking God for David’s life and faithful service to Him!
